Tian Tian Xiang Shang Gateway—Danny Yung’s Bamboo Structure-Flower Plaque Installation

Danny Yung was the sole artist from Hong Kong being invited at the 48th Smithsonian Folklife Festival and designed the Gateway – Tian Tian Xiang Shang broad-scale flower plaque bamboo installation.

The installation stood on the National Mall of Washington DC during the Festival.

There were over 1,000,000 visitors in the Festival.

 

The Smithsonian Folklife Festival

The Festival is an international exposition of living cultural heritage annually produced outdoors on the National Mall of the United States in Washington, D.C., by the Smithsonian Institution’s Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage.
